This year we are offering different mini session locations around Waxhaw and south Charlotte, NC. The dates for each of the sessions are listed below. In order to book your session, select your desired date, time, and location through the booking system and pay the initial deposit online. Reach out if you have questions before the session. We will email you one week prior to confirm the details and address any weather concerns.

Your Session.
While I’ll gently guide your family with prompts and poses, the real magic happens when you simply interact, laugh, and enjoy your time together. We’ll make space for family portraits, sibling moments, and individual shots of your children, blending a few classic group poses with a focus on playfulness and genuine connection.
Above all, I want your family to feel relaxed and have fun! These sessions are about capturing your true personalities—the bright eyes, the sweetest smiles, and the candid little moments that make your family uniquely yours.
You’ll receive the exact location, address, and directions by email about one to two weeks before your session date.
Fall Mini Sessions are limited and booked on a first-come, first-served basis—and once they’re gone, they’re gone! This will be the only opportunity for outdoor minis this year, so don’t miss your chance to reserve a spot.

INDOOR CHRISTMAS MINI SESSIONS
This year marks a special milestone for Couick Photography—our very first Christmas Mini Sessions in a studio of our very own. We’re thrilled to welcome families into this space and offer two beautifully curated holiday setups. The first blends elegant white and gold tones with deep, classy greens for a modern-yet-timeless Christmas feel. The second is a cozy white setup paired with a rich chocolate-brown backdrop—warm, inviting, and perfect for a more refined, editorial holiday look. Whether you’re drawn to festive elegance or soft seasonal sophistication, we have the perfect scene to capture your family’s holiday magic. We can’t wait to celebrate the season with you!
FAQs:
Are you a dog-friendly photographer?
Answer: Absolutely! If you feel comfortable bringing your dog(s) to the park around other dogs, we are more than willing to work he or she into as many photos as you like. We do ask that you bring a leash along with a small bag of treats to help achieving his or her attention. Here are a few pictures of some of the dogs we met last mini session season! :)
What happens if it rains?
Answer: Sometimes, during October and November, rain can creep up unaware in the forecast. If this occurs, we will reschedule sessions within a 12-hour notice. Both locations we have chosen do have a covering in case of a sudden downpour. We will try our best to reschedule sessions to the following day or weekend, depending on our availability.
How do we access our pictures when they are finished?
Answer: After your session is complete, we send the entire album back via email link. This will take you to an online gallery where you can select up to fifteen photographs from the session.
How long until we receive our gallery?
Answer: We strive our hardest to have all galleries delivered within seven days of the shoot date. All families that are photographed during our mini session dates are delivered on the same day as everyone else. Unfortunately, we cannot offer rush edits for these galleries.
Can we purchase more than the fifteen photographs included?
Answer: Of course. We encourage buying your entire album for an additional $50. We usually stay in contact after the album has been sent back to see what your family would like to do.
Do you work with very large families?
Answer: Absolutely! We love working with large families, especially those spanning multiple generations. Outdoor sessions are ideal for bigger groups, while we recommend keeping indoor sessions to six people or fewer.
With nearly ten years of experience capturing families, we’ve seen all kinds of dynamics and know how to make every session run smoothly. For mini sessions with large families, we suggest booking two back-to-back time slots or opting for a full one-hour family session. This ensures plenty of time to move between locations and capture the very best moments.
If your group has more than eight family members, we strongly recommend two consecutive sessions. Here’s a glimpse of some of the large families we have photographed.
